BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
Served as a chaplain in the United States Army (Ft. Knox, KY and Verdun, France) for two years (1963-65) and as a congregational rabbi for thirty-three years (1963-98) including senior rabbi of two major congregations. Highly effective in areas of preaching, counseling, teaching, community outreach, and creating a vision for the future development of the congregations. Strengths include staff development, interfaith community initiatives, board interaction, and inter-personal relationships.
Served as National Chair of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s 125th anniversary celebration. Responsible for coordination of all congregational and campus-related programs.
